Animator

The American Museum of Natural History is looking for a freelance 
Animator with significant Maya and After Effects experience for their 
multi-media, current-science, production group, Science Bulletins 
http://sciencebulletins.amnh.org. Animators collaborate with staff 
Scientists, writers and producers to develop 3D content related to 
Astrophysics, Earth Science, and Biodiversity. The Animator is primarily

responsible for creating animations and visualizations for Science 
Bulletins HD media: 3D animations for feature stories data 
visualizations. Required: proficiency in Maya and After Effects, 
experience with video, coding and video tape output, Windows and Mac 
operating systems, FTP, as well as interest in science. Experience in 
programming languages (i.e. MEL, PERL) a plus. The ideal candidates will

have at least 2 years of design work in a Masters program or in the
