Assistant Professor in Culture and Media
Eugene Lang College, The New School for Liberal Arts,the liberal arts
college of The New School, invites applications for a full- time,
tenure-track assistant professor position in Culture and Media. This
interdisciplinary program offers tracks in digital media cultures;
media histories and popular culture; gender, sexuality and media; and
race, ethnicity, transnationalism and media. Successful candidates
will have a strong research agenda and be able to develop innovative
courses in either digital media cultures and/or media in relation to
transnational audiences, media practices and visual cultures, including
global uses of digital/new media. Ability to integrate media production
in theory-based courses is highly desirable. Ph.D. preferred in Media
Studies or related field. MFA will also be considered. Candidates must
have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates.
