Live coding with Tidal workshop
17 March at 18:30–21:30
Access Space, Unit 1, AVEC Building, 3-7 Sidney Street,Sheffield S14RG, UK
Curious about creative use of algorithms, how simple patterns can be easily described as code, and then combined in strange ways into complex music?
On the evening of the 17th March we'll be hosting a hands-on workshop where you'll start learning how to work live with Tidal, a mini-language for live coding musical pattern. No prior knowledge of programming or music is required.
Spaces are strictly limited, to sign up please register here, with paypal donation to Access Space of £20:
The workshop will be lead by Alex McLean, creator of Tidal and co-founder of the live coding and algorave movements. Alex will also be performing as part of Canute at the Computer Club Algorave at Access Space later that same week, on 20th March.
This workshop is part of a evening course series supported by the Cultural and Creative Industries Exchange, University of Leeds.
