<nettime-ann> Random Darknet Shopper - Horatio Junior, London - 11th December |
.
Dear friends The Random Darknet Shopper is roaming the Darknets again and has already made its first purchase yesterday - a Lacoste T-shirt for 0.1101 Bitcoins. Over the next eight weeks it will be enlarging the landscape of items from the Darknets. The items will be on display at Horatio Junior in London from 11th December 2015 to 5th February 2016. ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________ Random Darknet Shopper Curated by Thomas Kitchin Where: Horatio Junior The Lord Nelson 66 Canon Beck Rd. Random Darknet Shopper was released in May 2015 and after some technical adjustments it will buy eight more random items from Alpha Bay market place. The market place has changed - Agora discontinued its services in September - but the rules are the same: from December 2015 to February 2016, it will be choosing one item per week for $100 in Bitcoins or less from the Darknet markets. The items will be delivered to Horatio Junior, where they will be unpacked and displayed. We'd love to see you at the opening on 11th December at Horatio Junior If you can't make it to London, you can follow the bot's doings at https://wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.bitnik.org/r/ All the love and all the best! !Mediengruppe Bitnik ___________ Recent reviews of Random Darknet Shopper: ÂWhat the Internet can do to Art, and Vice versa ... Zerodeux, Spring 2015 edition (scroll down for english) http://www.zerodeux.fr/guests/mediengruppe-bitnik/ _____________________________________________________________________ Frieze d/e issue 18 ÂDark Arts - ÂSie haben Post http://frieze-magazin.de/archiv/kolumnen/sie-haben-post/?lang=en http://frieze-magazin.de/archiv/kolumnen/sie-haben-post/?lang=de _____________________________________________________________________ Artnews, Feature in November 2015 Issue Spy vs. Spy: A Tech-Savvy Swiss Duo Refines the Art of Espionage and Listens In https://www.artnews.com/toc/november-2015/ _____________________________________________________________________ Ofluxo / Sleek Magazine, Issue 46 ÂLook Who's Talking http://www.ofluxo.net/look-whos-talking-an-essay-on-artificial-intelligence-in-contemporary-art-by-jeni-fulton/ _____________________________________________________________________ Financial Times ÂArtificial intelligence and the fridge http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/2/039b3d28-ac6e-11e4-9d32-00144feab7de.html ____________________________________________________________________ Random Darknet Shopper - The Bot's Collection is also on view: ___________ ZKM Karlsruhe ÂGlobale: Infosphere 05.09.2015 - 31.01. 2016 http://zkm.de/en/event/2015/09/globale-infosphere ___________ HMKV - Dortmunder U Â(Artifical Intelligence) Digitale Demenz http://www.hmkv.de/_en/programm/programmpunkte/2015/Ausstellungen/2015_AID_Artifical_Intelligence_Digitale_Demenz.php ___________ ÂHacking Habitat.
