<nettime> a pasion for internet statistics

[Every month the french attac newsletter publishes the internet statistics
of their website, mailinglists and work groups. I am sort of puzzled by this
extravagant transparency. Why bother subscribers of your newsletter with all
these data every month? Perhaps they want to share their pride about their
evergrowing global network? Or is this a case of French burocracy? Perhaps
one of the insiders in French (online) culture could tell us more about the
cultural forces behind this great data passion. /geert]

Need Help (Global Volunteers)
Besoin d'aide

We are looking for English native speakers to help the volunteer
translation group. If you understand (reading habilities) another
language than English and are therefore able to translate from it into
English please send a presentation of yourself to coorditrad@attac.org
What it involves ? To be registered into a mailing list. You'll
receive from time to time document descriptions for translation. You
have time, you like the document... you just answer the call to do the
translation.
