   Alice and Bob are the world's most famous cryptographic couple. Since
   their invention in 1978, they have become practically ubiquitous
   online. They are the subject of online jokes, digital lore, and a deep
   digital culture. However, until now their origins were not well known.
   Quinn DuPont and Alana Cattapan have researched the history of Alice
   and Bob and detailed their story in a new multimedia website.�   The story of Alice and Bob is a small but important one. With the
   growth of the Internet, its securitization, its fads and fazes, and its
   continuing hostilities to women, Alice and Bob tell that story, and in
   some ways, perpetuate it.
