CELL - INITIATORS OF INCIDENTS - PRESENT

SUNDAY JUNE 17TH at 21.00 hrs.

'EL ZILVERVLOTO' by IBW/Instituut voor Betaalbare Waanzin

In Las Palmas building, Wilhelminakade at Kop van Zuid, Rotterdam
(location can be reached taking tram 20 from Rotterdam CS and metro, stop Wilhelminaplein)

Performance- and mediagroup IBW (Institute for Affordable Lunacy) has developed their 'Choreography of Calamity Nr 3': EL ZILVERVLOTO.
It is a reconstruction of the battle for the Zilvervloot near the Cuban bay of Matanzas on September 8th, 1628 (in collaboration with the dansers of Retazos).
For those of you who are not too familiar with the martime history of the Dutch people: the Zilvervloot was a notorious Spanish treasure which was conquered by our national hero Piet Heyn and gave the Dutch a financial injection to get rid off their Spanish occupants during the independance war which lasted for 80 years!
