The emphasis is not only on media as a tool, but on new forms of communicating, experiencing, learning and playing. The best of current international research and development from the world's media labs, art and design schools, innovative companies and new media pioneers will be on show. And the researchers themselves will be on hand to talk about their work. e-culture conference The sheer variety and quality of the work presented at the e-culture fair raises many questions about the future of creative innovation in the field of new media. The platform for discussion and future plans will be a one-day working conference for professionals from the fields of science, culture, education, and social development. 24 October The e-culture fair 2 is organized by Virtual Platform, a network organization based in Amsterdam with four years' experience of investigating new media and culture, advising policy makers both nationally and internationally, and bringing about exchange and co-operation between the cultural sector and other players in the ICT field.
