Algorave Roma AV. Are you an audio or visual live creative coder? We are pleased to invite you to SPIN TIME LABS, Roma on the 28th of March, 2019. The idea is to have a meeting time from 19:00 to 22:00, dedicated to the Algorave culture and philosophy, and then play Audio and Visuals till late. And, if it works, repeat it! It wants to expand the experience by adding the visuals to the concept in connection to LPM that has a long-standing tradition of live coded visuals. Algorave is a colourful spectacle of experiments where tracks for the rave are built by live coding right in front of the audience. Since 2012 Algorave has become a world-wide movement, a meeting point of hacker philosophy, geek culture and clubbing. Algoraves showcase a range of styles, including a complex form of minimal techno. The first test in Rome was made in June 2018, during the XIX Edition of LPM when a full day of the meeting was dedicated to Algorave - let’s consider it an Algorave Beta. LPM collective and AMEN Crew has joined the forces together again and is announcing a proper Algorave on the 28th of March 2019 in the space of Spin Time Labs. The idea is to start off with a meeting, and finish with a series of live algorithm-generated music and visuals. We are excited to announce that this year’s XX Edition of LPM, returning to MATTATOIO in May will also host an Algorave!
