FOCUS:

Art & Science Collaborations is organizing its fourth international
digital print competition and exhibition. This year it will focus on
images that reflect our sci-tech world. We are seeking digital prints by
artists and scientists that may include images from the micro world of
electron micrographs to images inspired by deep space, from laboratory
study or field research to works inspired by contemporary issues in the
fields of science research and technology. And, as the artist has always
been the conscience of our society, we welcome works that comment on the
underbelly of current scientific and technological "advances."  Thus,
this will be an exhibition that exposes both the beauty and postive
nature as well as the foreboding underbelly of our "Our Sci-Tech World".

JUROR:

Michal Smith, co-owner/director of the Silicon Gallery [NYC & Philly],
the first gallery in the United States [1994] devoted solely to digital
prints.

DEADLINE: August 22, 2001
FEE: $5.00 per digital image, maximum of 10 images.
NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified by August 30
SHIPPING: Framed works must be shipped to NYC by September 21
