festival multimedia de arta in spatiu public

- Arnhem, Nijmegen, Dunkerque -

Prezentarea va fi bogat ilustrata de materiale video si va prezenta proiecte realizate in spatiul public (performance, sculpturi, fotografii, proiectii de film sau grafitti). In plus va fi proiectata o selectie de lucrari video din participarile internationale in cadrul festivalului din 2001 - 2002.

Prezentarea are ca scop lansarea invitatiei de participare catre artistii din Romania la editia din 2003!

Twan van Oosterhout

b: 1966
1985 -1990     Studies at the Art Academy of Arnhem
1990 – 1995     Realizes sculptures and installations focused primarely on the relation space - light (projects: Hollandsche Spoorweg, Nijmegen / Highlights and Dimlichten, Arnhem / Huilende Madonna, Terschelling / Design, buy or Deny, Nijmegen).
Since then, in site-specific installations became the context of the work, social or architectual, more important (projects: Clockwork Orange, Arnhem / United Colours, Sonsbeek-Arnhem / In memoriam the Holland-Rusland Line, Rotterdam).
Makes often use of slides and filmprojection (Stilstand is vooruitgang, Rotterdam / Cycling, Arnhem).
In 1997 visited Bucharest to film cultural elements in public space.  

1991-1995    Worked as co-curator for the AVE festival (international festival for audio-visual and experimental art) and for the new AVE.com festival in 2001.

Since 1999 works at Foundation Hooghuis (an organisation for presentation and production of contemporary arts) and curating the manifestation CityJam. This project took place in Arnhem in 2001 in as well in Nijmegen, Dunkerque and at the Kröller Müller Museum in 2002.
