On The Move, IETM, the City of Nantes and Relais Culture Europe are organizing a colloquium in Nantes, in collaboration with ERBAN in 23-24 June: "Interactive Culture" (culture and online information) This conference aims to give a vision and an understanding of the cultural evolution towards digital culture; to identify the specific problematics of the dissemination of cultural information; to debate the relations between technological tool and artistic and cultural content; to analyze the transformation of cultural resources into on-line information - both as dematerialised objects and as communication flows Two days of discussion will focus on the encounter between 'cultural domain' and 'digital culture' and will question if the cultural operators and resource centers are lagging behind in the exploitation of new possibilities. 'Virtual' participation is possible as the introductory and conclusive sessions of the colloquium will be streamed on the website of ERBAN www.erba-nantes.fr . The introductory session takes place on 23 June from 10h-12.30h &14h-16h. After that specific debates will be conducted in working groups by exchanging and examining experience, presenting case studies and discussing inspiring models of the use of new technology for providing information, building communities and strengthening the professional capacities of cultural operators and artists working across borders in Europe. The conclusive session is on the 24th of June from 15h-17.45h and will take the form of a feedback session where the observers of the 4 working groups will report back on the 'expression of needs'. The IETM -team -------------------- On The Move , IETM , la Ville de Nantes et Relais Culture Europe, organisent en collaboration avec l'ERBAN (www.erba-nantes.fr ) les 23 et 24 juin prochain un colloque sur le thème : "Culture Interactive" (culture et information en ligne). Ce colloque a pour vocation de donner une vision et une compréhension de l'évolution culturelle vers la culture numérique, d'identifier les problématiques spécifiques à la circulation de l'information culturelle, de débattre de la relation entre outil technologique et contenu artistique et culturel, et enfin d'analyser la transformation des ressources culturelles en informations interactives en ligne, à la fois comme objets dématérialisés et flux transmis. Ces deux jours de débats et d'échanges seront axés sur la rencontre entre le "domaine culturel" et la "culture numérique". Dans quelle mesure les opérateurs culturels et les centres de ressources s'impliquent-ils dans l'exploitation des nouvelles possibilités offertes ? Une participation virtuelle est possible : les conférences du colloque seront enregistrées et diffusées en direct par visioconférence depuis le site web de l'ERBAN www.erba-nantes.fr, où un espace spécifique sera dédié au colloque. La conférence introductive prend place du 10h-12.30h et du 14-16h. Des débats thématiques plus spécialisés seront ensuite organisés au sein de groupes de travail restreints. Les participants y échangeront et analyseront leurs expériences, et présenteront des études de cas. Ils débattront sur les modèles qui stimulent l'usage des nouvelles technologies au service de l'information, de la construction de communautés virtuelles, et du renforcement des capacités professionnelles d'opérateurs culturels, et d'artistes, travaillant sans frontières en Europe. La conférence conclusive sera le 24, de 15h jusqu'à 17h45, et prendra la forme d'une session analytique où les observateurs des quatre ateliers vont reporter la synthèse des besoins et des questions exprimées lors du travail de groupe.
