Apparently, the world, where you are not allowed to look another person right into eyes and share his/her feelings and thoughts, finds presentation in the camouflage clothes. The main purpose is to hide subjects or people so that they are invisible and unrecognizable. Nevertheless, this definition is not so valid because in time when we do not know whether it is war or not camouflage gains its role in the civil life. How to understand the fact that camouflage cloth gets from militant subcultures into the world of fashion shows and becomes a fashion aberration? What to think when exclusive fashion becomes part of general taste and it is possible to buy camouflage T-shirt in a market? Is the society becoming more militant or is it, on the contrary, a way for different militant displays to get civilized gradually? In fact, isn?t fashion just a specific form of civilized camouflage?
Behind Salak?s long term project - Guerilla it?s a even much more general hidden question: Doesn?t today?s fashion of military camouflage pattern announce a more essential cultural turn?
