> "Mihai Zgondoiu practices an art of observation in which irony, sometimes very trenchant, sometimes subtle, is questioning cultural patterns, prejudices from the art environment, the status of the contemporary artist, while using appropriation, self-subjection to the rigors of kitsch (project KITSCH-ME, 2008). Self-referential discourse is never austere, keeping the dose of detachment and the state of âhaving funâ, a solution of creative lucidity. The Artistâs Golden Hand (2011-2013) was the creative idea following a physical injury, a fracture of the carpus, which would have resulted in blocking just the creative ability, the manuality from the artistic process.
