AW: Syndicate: Haider's majority |
Haider's party got abou 27 % of 85 % of the eligible voters. Which means that less than 23 % of the eligible voters put their votes for his party. But, I repeat: Haider and his followers are NO NAZIs! They are right wing as many other politicians in Europe and internationally are. In Austria we have strict laws against any propaganda of Nazism. Anybody would be severly prosecuted, if he proclaims nationalsocialistic ideas. It is just hypocrisy to say that Haider is a Nazi! Februar 2000 02:25 An: syndicate@aec.at Betreff: Syndicate: Haider's majority Can someone tell me, what were the percentages of people who voted for Haider's party, and what were the percentages of the total Austrian electorate who actually voted in that election? Was he elected by an overwhelming majority of the small percentage of people who voted, or really by an overwhelming majority of the entire Austrian people? Many times when such people come into power, it is because the people who would have voted against them DIDN'T. As they say, the only thing that evil needs to succeed is for good people to do nothing. Again, and again, and again. - tamiko Rebernik Peter wrote: > > Haider is not a NAZI, he is right wing, all right or not.
